Relationship Banker I - Casa Grande
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Relationship Banker I is a results-driven sales and service professional responsible for building strong member relationships through meaningful financial conversations and solution-based selling. This role proactively uncovers member needs and recommends products and services that help members earn higher rates on deposits, lower rates on loans, add convenience, and achieve their financial goals. Relationship Bankers combine financial expertise with a consultative approach to identify opportunities, deepen relationships, and deliver personalized solutions that create value for both the member and the credit union. Guided by our values of being kind, committed, and proactive, they serve as trusted advisors to our members.
This role is eligible for a language stipend of $200/monthly after 90 days of employment.
Salary range is $19.00 - $22.72/hr. Job Grade, NE 8. Final salary is dependent on a candidate’s experience and qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of customer service, sales, and/or retail banking experience
Preferred Qualifications
• One (1) year of sales experience

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
This job requires the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Must be able to obtain license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). May be required to obtain notary public certification.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:
1. Performs sales, service and operational functions in the branch. Delivers unsurpassed service that builds long-term member loyalty while effectively assisting with member interactions. Processes a variety of transactions promptly, accurately and efficiently to include deposits, transfers, withdrawals, opening and/or performing maintenance on new accounts, IRAs, CDs, loans, etc. in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
2. Engage members through consultative, open-ended conversations to build trust, uncover financial needs, and create sales opportunities. Leverage expertise in credit union products and services, new accounts, and consumer lending to recommend tailored solutions that help members achieve their financial goals while meeting branch and individual sales objectives.
3. Serve as Lobby Leader by welcoming members, managing lobby traffic by determining Members’ needs, signing Members in to meet with branch staff and managing wait time.
4. Educate and support members on the usage of self-service and digital options such as the Vantage West mobile App, VantageWest.org, and ITMs to complete transactions and service needs.
5. Follow established processes and guidelines in daily activities to do what is right for members and the credit union, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
6. Demonstrate adaptability by embracing change and effectively utilizing new and existing tools to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
7. Resolves Members' requests, problems, and complaints or directs them to the appropriate person or department for information and assistance.
8. Partners with Wealth Managers, Business Bankers, and Mortgage Loan Officers to connect members to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs.
9. Actively seek and apply feedback to improve performance and member experience.
10. Attend events representing Vantage West, including sponsorships, community outreach, and financial wellness. Support community relationships on an as-needed basis.
11. Be a resource to train new and existing team members as needed.
12. Assists the branch team with opening and closing duties, and other departments, as needed.
13. Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.
