Step into a rewarding role as a Co-Teacher supporting English/ELA instruction for high school students. This onsite, full-time opportunity runs from August 3 through May 21, 2027, focusing on collaborative classroom environments near Phoenix, AZ. You’ll co-teach a designated English class, drawing upon your background in reading, writing, and comprehension to foster student growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License
- IVP fingerprint clearance card (required for all applicants)
- Previous experience as a secondary-level English/ELA educator
- Knowledge and application of general education teaching principles
- Comfortable co-teaching and providing tailored support in a team setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Sped licensure preferred
Responsibilities:
- Co-teach English courses focused on reading, writing, and comprehension
- Plan and implement engaging lessons in coordination with a lead teacher
- Support diverse learners, creating an inclusive and motivating classroom environment
- Apply differentiated instructional strategies to help all students succeed
- Manage classroom routines and contribute to student assessment
- Participate in faculty meetings, collaborative planning, and school-wide initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by school policies
