About the Opportunity

Velocity Rail Solutions is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to join our elite team fueling locomotives. This position offers consistent, full-time hours, weekly pay, and year-round stability — no weather or seasonal slowdowns.

You’ll be paid for a full 12-hour shift — including breaks, lunch, and dispatch wait time — providing income you can count on. If you're looking for a high-paying, local driving job where you're home daily and part of a mission-critical operation, this role is for you.

• $68,600 + Annually

• 60-hour week: $1400/weekly

• 60-hour workweeks (every 3rd week is 48 hours)

• Dayshift schedule: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM with rotating midweek days off (alternating Tuesday/Wednesday, Wednesday/Thursday, and full Tuesday–Thursday off every third week

Job Duties

• This is not typical trucking.

• Locomotive fueling is a hands‑on job — 90–95% of the fueling work happens outside the truck sticking tanks, pulling hoses, and operating the fuel nozzle.

• Because dispatches can occur at any time during your shift, you must be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Work on an on-call basis during your shift — paid for the full 12 hours regardless of the number of dispatches

What You Need to Bring

• CDL Class A with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements required

• No automatic restriction

• Tractor-trailer driving experience (Hazmat hauling experience not required)

• Ability to pass DOT and company background checks

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

• Strong communication and time-management skills

Physical Requirements

• Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces

• May have to walk long distances on paved, unmaintained, or uneven surfaces

• Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day

• Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions

• Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
