SURVEY FIELD TECHNICIAN - Phoenix, AZ

Dibble is looking for a skillful and highly motivated Field Technician to join our Survey Practice in Phoenix, AZ. This is an opportunity for you to join our fine group of respected professionals.
SUMMARY :
This role of Field Technician will participate in fieldwork activities and perform a variety of technical tasks related to boundaries, topographic, and mapping requirements of survey projects. This role will also assist with uploading/downloading data and maintaining related records.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Search plan set data, survey records and other project data to obtain information about property boundaries, benchmarks and existing survey control.
- Utilize survey instruments in conjunction with Dibble survey procedures.
- Develop and maintain survey data.
- Perform and/or check survey computations as required in the performance of duties.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of land surveys of all types.
- Ensure proper maintenance of all survey/company equipment, including fleet vehicles.
- Ability to meet multiple project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with both the customer and survey team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic level knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys.
- Basic level knowledge of conventional and geodetic operations and calculations.
- Ability to maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and client service.
- Land survey knowledge with demonstrated ability in all survey methods including robotic and GPS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs and Revu Bluebeam.
- Ability to identify and address quality control issues.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in different surveying functions.
- Previous commercial construction experience is strongly preferred.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid Arizona driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license within 3 months of start date.
Working Conditions for this role:
- This role requires occasional evening and weekend work, possible shift or on-call work, and extended periods working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids.
LOCATION: This opportunity is located in the Phoenix area
COMPENSATION: Salary depends on level of skills and experience
