EMI Services is hiring a Laborer General Maintenance performs, often under supervision, a wide range of physically demanding manual tasks to support construction sites, warehouses, or manufacturing facilities. Key responsibilities include loading/unloading materials, cleaning, site preparation, operating tools/machinery, and assisting skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. 

Salary

$19.61/ hr. plus $10.00 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation & Maintenance: Cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, erecting temporary structures, and digging trenches.
• Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Technical Support: Assisting carpenters, electricians, masons, and other skilled trades with tasks like pouring concrete, measuring, or assembling components.
• Equipment Operation: Operating basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery (e.g., bulldozers, forklifts) safely.
• Safety Compliance: Following strict safety regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean work environment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to use and have knowledge of all tools and equipment
• Ability to perform most complex and unusual task without supervision

• Ability to perform work in a rapid and efficient manner under extreme conditions

• Ability to perform work safely under hazardous conditions.

• Ability to select the proper equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Regular, dependable attendance
• U. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Physical Requirements

• Must lift 75 lbs. unassisted
• Must work in extreme weather conditions - summer peaks at 120° Fahrenheit
• Must wear appropriate Person Protective Equipment (PPO)
