Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced medical biller to handle claims submission, follow-up, and payment posting for insurance and cash-pay patients. You will collaborate with our internal clinical and administrative teams to ensure clean claims, efficient reimbursement, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies and clearinghouses
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
• Review encounter notes and ensure correct CPT and ICD-10 coding (knowledge of CCM/RPM codes is necessary)
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues
• Post payments and reconcile patient accounts
• Generate monthly billing reports for leadership
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience , preferably in cardiology, primary care, or chronic care management

• Proficiency with EHR and billing systems (experience with DrChrono, AdvancedMD, or similar is preferred)

• Knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes, modifiers, and appeals

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Excellent communication and follow-up skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Contract Details

• Independent contractor role (1099)

• Part-time: 10–20 hours per week (flexible schedule)

• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
