Pharmacy Data Entry Technician

Are you a detail-oriented and customer-focused pharmacy technician looking for a dynamic role? We are seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our team in a fast-paced call center environment. In this role, you will support customers in various healthcare settings, including senior living communities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other medical institutions. Your primary responsibility will be handling inbound calls, processing medication orders, and resolving delivery inquiries with professionalism and care.

This position requires flexibility with scheduling, including availability on Fridays through Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

Handle incoming calls for medication order entry in a call center environment.

Process requests for new and refill medications efficiently.

Ensure accurate filing of documentation in compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Follow state board of pharmacy rules and regulations to maintain compliance.

Research medication status using AS400 and DocuTrack systems.

Review and interpret pharmacy notes to take appropriate action on orders.

Provide timely and empathetic responses to customer inquiries and concerns.

What We're Looking For

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing: Active Registered Pharmacy Technician License (Required).

Experience: At least 1 year of prior pharmacy experience is required. Call center experience is preferred (minimum 1 year).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
