CT Technologist

**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care. + Displays a thorough knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and positioning as it relates to performance of CT scan procedures. Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans may include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Interventional Procedures. + Displays competency operating equipment, performing procedures, teleradiology system, and ability to function as a radiologic technologist when requested. + Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available radiation protection devices. Ensure badges are worn appropriately and readings are available. + Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infect control practices as appropriate. + Displays knowledge of various drugs and contrast media utilized. Displays competency injecting contrast media, if required. + Accurately completes electronic documentation in Meditech and PACS. **Job Requirements** **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** + Minimum of two years CT tech experience. + Graduate AMA approved school of radiologic technology + Basic computer skills including MS Office Suites. + Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. + CRT-State of Arizona. ARRT-R-National. + Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Registry by the ARRT in CT Scanning **Where You'll Work** Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Gilbert, the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, is a 198-bed, not-for profit hospital with more than 1,300 team members and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties.
