Accounts Receivable Representative (Phoenix, AZ)

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Accounts Receivable Representative:

Manage the full accounts receivable process, including generating invoices, applying payments, and handling past-due accounts. Utilize ERP systems such as Waystar, Instamed, Availity, and WellSky, along with proficiency in Teams, Outlook, and Excel. Reconcile accounts, identify unapplied or misapplied payments, and monitor AR aging to prioritize collections. Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and operations to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships. Work onsite from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no on-call or weekend shifts.

Required Skills for Accounts Receivable Representative:

Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits/credits and the AR process. Experience in healthcare billing, including familiarity with insurance billing, denials, and EOBs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve mismatched balances. Proficient in professional communication and negotiation to tactfully collect overdue payments. Highly organized with attention to detail, capable of managing high-volume AR efficiently.
