Stationary Engineer

**Responsibilities** Our Stationary Engineer performs skilled work in the operation, repair, and maintenance of Hospital Central Plant equipment. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, and a variety of mechanical systems including pumps, vacuum pumps, air compressors, water softeners, and generators. Ensures continuous and reliable utility services-such as steam, chilled water, compressed air, and emergency power-are provided to support hospital operations. Responsibilities include: + Routine operation of Central Plant equipment, such as boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps and all auxiliary components in the overall utility service function for the Hospital + Inspection, maintenance and repair of the equipment and its ancillary components of the Hospital Central plant and its functionality throughout the campus + Understanding of safety regulations and proper procedures as they relate to the operation of Central Plant equipment and its auxiliaries throughout the Hospital Campus + Service and testing of the water treatment processes that apply to all the chemical treatments of the systems and equipment of the Central Plant + Understanding of the operation of the emergency generators as they are in stand-by of the emergency power grid of the hospital and the associated functioning of transfer switches Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days.
