Junior Systems Administrator

Overview:

The position of Junior Systems Administrator is to be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s server, storage, and virtual infrastructure. We are looking for a person who is analytical, has critical thinking skills and is self-motivated as well as willing to learn. This position will need to be able to work across varying technologies and engage with associates in a professional manner, thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Desktop Administrators as a resource for ticket escalation.
• Maintain virtual and physical backups.
• Perform restores from backups as needed and for testing.
• Monitors and maintains company file shares.
• Creates and maintains documentation for server and storage systems.
• Provides support for other teams as needed (networking, server applications, etc.)
• Prioritize and escalate tickets as needed.
• Maintain and implement SSL certificates for servers and storage.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years help desk or senior
• Windows 10 and 11, server 2016,2019,2022
• Active Directory
• VMware products vSphere 7.0, and Horizon 8.0
• Basic SQL experience
• Printer support
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Good observance of policies and regulations
• Available to work non-business hours
• Some physical labor is required such as installation of servers.
• Working from HQ Office, possibility of Hybrid Schedule (HQ and Remote)
• M- F and occasional Holidays and Weekends
