Credit Manager

Job Type: Salary Range: $51,242.50-$71,610.00 What You’ll Do: Accounts Collection: Proactively manage a high volume of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time according to company terms and customer agreements. Communication: Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect overdue payments, negotiate payment plans, and resolve disputes. Customer Account Management: Maintain accurate records of all customer communications, payments, and payment plans. Ensure account details are up-to-date and properly documented. Dispute Resolution: Work closely with customers and internal departments (such as sales, customer service, and billing) to resolve any billing discrepancies, short payments, and disputes. Reporting & Analysis: Regularly review aging reports, providing updates on overdue accounts, collection status, and payment trends to management. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the accounts receivable collections process, improve operational efficiency, and reduce delinquencies. Customer Relations: Maintain positive customer relationships while enforcing payment terms and encouraging timely payments. Payment Posting: Accurately post payments to customer accounts and assist in reconciling accounts receivable balances to ensure accurate financial reporting. What It Takes: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections in a high-volume business environment. Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounts receivable processes, collections strategies, and financial software. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing accounts and processing payments. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, especially when handling complex payment disputes and outstanding balances. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, collaborating with various departments to meet business objectives. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred. Why Join Axis?
