Special Education Teacher

We are seeking Teachers who are passionate about meeting the needs of our students, clients and community and want to make a difference and enrich the lives of others. Must have experience working with Special Education.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors and Masters degree preferred.
• Experience in behavior management.
• Have worked with children with developmental disabilities or behaviors previously.
• Current state driver’s license.
• Minimum 6 months in a classroom setting.

The primary purpose of the Special Education Teacher is to plan for student success based on assessed needs of individual students in a school setting. The goal is to help students by using data and information to determine each student’s current knowledge and skill level, set student learning goals, and assess student progress within an educational model of practice.

Education/Experience:

• MUST HAVE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHING CERTIFICATE.
• Experience in behavior management.
• Have worked with children with developmental disabilities or behaviors previously.
• Current state driver’s license.
• Minimum 6 months in a classroom setting.

All applicants MUST have:

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• CPI (updated in the last 12 months).
• Tuberculosis (TB) skin test within the last year.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Paperwork indicating you have had a physical within the last year and have no work restrictions.
• 2 forms of government issued identification.
• APPLICANTS MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN, AS WELL AS CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS.
