Financial Aid Specialist
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist in Tempe, AZ. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the coordination and processing of student fraud and identity theft investigations within a higher education environment. This role works closely with internal departments and external agencies to ensure timely, accurate, and secure handling of sensitive documentation in compliance with established regulations and guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage incoming fraud and identity theft case activity to ensure timely review and resolution
- Track case progress, including documentation requests, receipt of materials, and completion status
- Coordinate with various internal departments to gather and validate required documentation
- Review submitted materials for completeness and accuracy prior to external submission
- Prepare and securely transmit documentation to authorized external entities
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper case closure following successful submission
- Respond promptly to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Safeguard confidential information in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policies
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience, or 3+ years of directly related experience
- Experience working in administrative, compliance, financial aid, or related environments
- Familiarity with student information systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with discretion
- Understanding of financial aid processes, regulations, or compliance requirements
- Experience working with case tracking systems or documentation workflows
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- 100% remote position
- Part-time schedule (up to 20 hours per week)
- Must have access to reliable internet and a personal computer
