Facilities HVAC Equipment Maintenance Technician

NO RELOCATION EXPENSE! NOT A REMOTE POSITION! MUST BE LOCAL!

TITLE: HVAC TECHNICIAN - CRITICAL SYSTEMS

LOCATION: CHANDLER, AZ

PAY: $30/hr - $40/hr + benefits (401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, Stock)

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems in commercial setting, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Currently have an EPA 608 Universal Certification
• 5-6 years MINIMUM experience in the Commercial HVAC Industry
• Maintain an insurable driving record during employement
• Provide own tools (hand tools, basic power tools, industry standard refrigeration specialized tools), larger items will be provided by the company (ladders, vacuum pumps, re-claimers, etc.)
• Schedule to allow for 12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Must be able to work independently and as a team to make correct critical decisions

Key Responsibilites:

• Maintaining and repairing Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) units
• Maintaining and repairing Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH) units
• Servicing chillers, cooling towers, condensers, pumps, and fan arrays
• Performing routine preventative maintenance (PMs) 
• Identifying and fixing 'hot spots' to prevent equipment failure
• Implementing airflow management strategies, such as cold aisle containment, to maximize cooling efficiency
• Responding immediately to alarms, equipment failures, or temperature excursions
• Monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) for real-time fault detection
• Conducting startup and commissioning of new, critical cooling equipment
• Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles
• Excellent knowledge of basic electricity for HVAC
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments
• Minimum of 4 years commerical HVAC required; 6 years preferred
• Must be a US citizen
