Accounting Analyst

Position Summary: The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of monthly and annual financial statements by posting journal entries, monitoring funding accounts, reconciliation of cash and bank transactions, and assisting in identifying trends.

This is an entry-level, in-person position, located in Tucson, Arizona.

Essential Job Functions:

• Participate in monitoring the financial data incoming and outgoing on a day-to-day basis, including transactions and reporting.
• Utilize professional experience and discretion to research and resolve issues that impact the finance and accounting departments.
• Reconcile accounts across multiple entities.
• Researching, identifying, and tracking issues and errors in order to resolve accounting problems.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team and other internal departments to ensure financial data is accurate.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing operations.
• Possess the ability to understand and execute multiple inter-company transactions
• Provide accounting support to Accounting Team leadership.
• Develop and maintain general accounting reporting.
• Understands and follows GAAP principles.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in accounting role.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to create and maintain detailed financial reports.
• Experience with advanced formulas and other Excel functionalities.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data and present to management as necessary
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Competency in communications in person, by phone, and email.
• Service-first mentality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in month-end and year-end financial statement development.
• Drive to learn and grow with the organization.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position type/expected work hours:

This is an entry-level, non-exempt, hourly position. Normal working hours are in the office, Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
