Corporate Partnerships Sales and Activation Manager

As a nonprofit organization, we believe in the importance of fostering a culture of community outreach and service. Based in Scottsdale, AZ, the Fiesta Bowl hosts a variety of local events each year, as well as two elite bowl games, the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl held at State Farm Stadium and the Guaranteed Rate Bowl held at Chase Field. The Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Guaranteed Rate Bowl and events, Fiesta Bowl Charities has given nearly $25 million in charitable giving the last eight years alone and nearly $30 million to the Arizona community in the last 13 years.
Position Summary:
The Corporate Partnerships Sales and Activation Manager for the Arizona Sports Foundation is currently an at-will full time non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Corporate Partnerships. The Manager will be responsible for sales and service of new and existing Fiesta Bowl Organization sponsors, customers and vendors including multi-platform integrated sponsorships and trade partnerships. Essential Functions:- Account management and fulfillment of top-tier corporate partners for the Fiesta Bowl, Guaranteed Rate Bowl and other Fiesta Bowl events including communicating deadlines, approval processes, specs and overseeing the renewal process.
- Oversee the Corporate Partnerships Seasonal Associate.
- Work closely with the events department to determine, schedule and fulfill contractual and added value sponsor assets that maximize event value for Fiesta Bowl customers and stakeholders.
- Create and develop various sales materials including but not limited to customized proposal decks, presentations and agreements.
- Work closely with Community Relations department to engrain and activate sponsor branding in Cause Marketing related campaigns.
- Work in lockstep with the marketing and communications teams to include various event and partnership asset analytics and competitive intelligence to use in proposals and recap presentations for existing and prospective clients.
- Determine partner's schedule of benefits and create activation plans to meet the client and company objectives.
- Build and maintain a robust list of prospective sponsorship targets.
- Effectively manage partner(s) objectives and strategically align them with Fiesta Bowl assets and inventory.
- Maintain partner's hospitality elements, including the distribution of tickets, gifts and assistance with travel plans as needed.
- Input leads and partner elements in the department's CRM system (Salesforce).
- Facilitate activation meetings, midseason meetings and end of season meetings with partners.
- Capture partnership delivery in an organized and timely manner to be included in reports such as Season Kickoff Game Plans and Seasonal Partnership Recap reports.
- Create marketing partnership proposals, handling renewals, overseeing corporate activation and customer service.
- Renew, upsell and expand existing client base where applicable.
- Research, identify, and track sponsorship potential new partners for the Fiesta Bowl, Guaranteed Rate Bowl and other Fiesta Bowl events regionally and nationally, within target industries and segments.
- Research and solicit potential new partners for the Fiesta Bowl, Guaranteed Rate Bowl and other Fiesta Bowl events.
- Work towards sales goals as noted separately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate, influence and build positive relationships within a multitude of business environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools/software, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong internal drive and work ethic; willing to go above and beyond to deliver for the organization.
- Passion for sports and a background working in the sports industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with digital analytics and how to leverage them with existing and prospective clients.
- Ability to maintain punctual attendance and timely correspondence.
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Genuine interest in collaboration, innovation and improvement for all parties involved.
- Must be able to work in-person at the Fiesta Bowl offices in Scottsdale, AZ, this is not a remote position.
- May have to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate partnerships, sales or business development role; ability to demonstrate a consistent history of exceeding and surpassing goals and benchmarks.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
