Home Instead is looking for big hearted Care Professionals to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity care and compassion. You won’t need to travel far either as we do our best to match you up with great shifts near you!

What would we need from you?

A love of caring for people.

Dependability.

A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

The ability to pass a background check, and motor vehicle report.

What we don’t need from you:

Previous experience

Vaccinations

Certifications of any kind

Compensation

The starting pay is $17 per hour for 3+ hour long shifts and $18 for 2 hour shifts.

If you use your car to drive your clients anywhere, or run errands for them, we reimburse you at 65 cents per mile.

Daily pay, if you choose: We offer an app called TapCheck which allows you to access your pay the day after any shift in between pay periods.

Paid training: All trainings are paid, including the initial full day orientation, and ongoing specialty training.

Sick leave – you earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours you work.

The flexibility of days, times, and number of hours you want to work!

Small geographical client area: North to South – Bell to Northern. East to West – The 51 to 101 freeways.

Support and communication

Someone is available 24/7 no matter what day or time your work. If you need help, or have a question, someone is always here for you.

Consistent contact – we want to set you up for success. We touch base regularly to see how your shifts are going.

Okay, I’m with you so far, but what would I be doing?

Caring for people in their homes. The clients tend to be seniors, but they can be anyone who needs that extra bit of help.

Providing companionship – chatting, going for walks or other outings, playing games, you can be creative!

Medication reminders.

Care for those with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, physical limitations, or on Hospice Care.

Assistance with grooming, bathing, toileting, and/or incontinence issues.

Help around the house. Things like cleaning up the kitchen, sweeping or mopping, vacuuming, and other light housekeeping tasks.

Meal preparation.
