Job Summary
Th e Cable Technician is responsible for assembling, repairing, testing, and maintaining Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) cable systems. This role performs hands-on cable fabrication, splicing, repairs, high-voltage testing, and cable handling operations while following strict safety and quality procedures.
Job Description
- Perform moderately complex ESP cable builds, repairs, and modifications.
- Complete cable splicing and repairs according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct high-voltage testing of ESP cable and accurately document test results.
- Perform cable spooling and material handling activities.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and customer requirements are met.
- Complete all required testing and production documentation.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical equipment issues and identify potential problems.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
- Work independently under general supervision while meeting production goals.

- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic troubleshooting skills related to electrical equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, organize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred qualifications
- Basic electrical knowledge or electrical background.
- Experience installing or repairing Electrical Submersible Pump cable.
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience in automotive, diesel, mechanical, or shop environments.
- Forklift experience.
- Previous cable manufacturing, repair, or assembly experience.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Education
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $20 - $23 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
Additional Details
- S h ift: 6 AM–6 PM, 11 days on / 3 days off, every other Fri/Sat/Sun
- Internal high-voltage electrical safety training will be provided.
- Additional training available for candidates with transferable mechanical or electrical skills.
