Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant to support classroom instruction student learning and individualized education programs. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe productive learning environment while providing hands-on support to students with diverse needs.

Essential Duties

• Assist the Teacher in achieving instructional objectives implementing behavioral strategies and supporting IEP goals.

• Provide tutoring in academic subjects daily living skills and social development in both individual and group settings.

• Monitor and ensure safe use of classroom tools materials and equipment.

• Observe document and maintain accurate student records in accordance with Federal State and organizational guidelines.

• Support students with personal care needs including lifting toileting feeding and hygiene assistance.

• Accompany and transport students to activities programs and appointments as required.

• Participate in training sessions workshops and ongoing professional development.

Knowledge Requirements

• Work-unit policies procedures and educational program standards.

• Classroom administrative practices and instructional support methods.

• Applicable rules regulations and operational procedures.

• Instructional strategies learning methods and evidence-based educational practices.

• Behavior management and student support techniques.

• Computer applications and standard office equipment.

• Effective planning and task prioritization.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with students staff and parents.
