Fab Engineering Manager

Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We're looking for a Fab Engineering Manager to join our team! What you'll do: - Lead the Process and Equipment Engineering teams ensuring stable, robust, repeatable, sustainable and high yielding manufacturing processes and products
- Manage and prioritize workload for the Engineering teams, adjusting work assignments and schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels and respond to fluctuating workloads.
- Manage the process development procedure to ensure the transfer of process and products from the development phase to production release is completed successfully and on schedule.
- Develop, monitor and maintain department Key Performance Indicators in line with internal and external customer needs.
- Promote safety awareness, accident prevention and employee involvement with regards to safe work environment.
- Prioritize and adjust Fab operations, as needed, to meet requirements of internal and external customers.
- Provide effective people management through the provision of coaching/mentoring and appropriate development planning to ensure the retention of key personnel.
- Prepare operating budgets to maintain engineering capability to support business demands of the wafer fab. Maintain focus on cost control for all wafer fab activities and proactively encourage cost reduction and lean manufacturing principles.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Experience with New Product Introduction.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership capabilities to drive and deliver results through motivating cross-cultural teams.
- Highly proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and statistical software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability. Appreciation of both practical and theoretical methodologies.
- Experienced in equipment selection, commissioning and process set-up.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting guides, OCAPs, working documentation, safety.
- Knowledge of quality systems and reliability assessment.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials or Physical Sciences.
- 7+ years of experience working in either a semiconductor or electronic assembly R&D or Engineering environment.
- 1+ year of supervisory or management experience
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: - Liquid Crystal or related display experience.
- Display system experience including background in one or all related disciplines (optical, electrical, mechanical).
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
- Experience working with CM's and OEM's in Asia.
- Exposure to medium to long term projects.

Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) : The base salary range for this position is $205,000-$295,000 annually. Zone B : The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$280,000 annually. Zone C : The base salary range for this position is $174,000-$251,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
