Mobile HVAC/Maintenance Engineer
Mobile HVAC/Maintenance Engineer – Mesa, Arizona
Malace|HR is seeking an experienced Mobile HVAC/Maintenance Engineer in Mesa, Arizona . This role works 1st shift supporting multiple commercial facilities. The HVAC/Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems while ensuring buildings remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, monitor, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, furniture, and control systems across multiple facilities.
Travel between assigned sites to ensure building systems are operating efficiently and maintained to company standards.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing HVAC system components.
Record equipment readings, analyze system performance, and make operational adjustments as needed.
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, inventory control, purchasing, and vendor services.
Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality work and cost effectiveness.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while identifying potential safety concerns.
Perform routine inspections of tools and testing equipment to ensure proper operation.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong commercial HVAC and electrical troubleshooting skills (approximately 90% of the role).
Basic plumbing and general building maintenance experience.
Several years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between local sites.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Trade school or technical education in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems preferred.
