CVICU RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: CVICU (Blended ICU), Level III Trauma Center
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 1/5/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Weekly guarantee)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130–$2190 per week
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
• Unit Size: 16 beds, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (Arizona RN jobs)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or blended ICU nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as needed
• Strong clinical skills in STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, and critical care
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a CVICU/ICU setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and manage advanced life support equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response situations
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit and assist with ED holding as required
• Document patient care accurately using Medhost EHR
• Adhere to hospital policies, including attendance and dress code (scrubs required)
