IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for all computer systems, software, and hardware used by employees. This individual will also assist with the maintenance and administration of the company's network and server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests from employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, network connectivity problems, and system errors.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on company servers and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Create and maintain user accounts and permissions for various systems and applications.
- Train employees on how to use new software and hardware.
- Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new technology solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and make recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.
- Ensure the security and integrity of company data by implementing and maintaining appropriate backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Assist with IT procurement, including researching and recommending new hardware and software purchases.
- Document IT processes and procedures for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and other cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with IT procurement and vendor management is a plus.
