Store Execution Manager
: About the Team There are a lot of activities that happen in our stores so we have a strong cross-functional team focused on doing Anything for Pets by supporting the store teams through effective communications, processes and initiatives. The Store Strategy & Operations department leads the way to support all store activities and define business-driving strategies. The Workforce, Insights & Planning team owns labor optimization and reporting needs. The Operations & Innovation team owns merchandise execution, process improvement, compliance, store technology and innovation. And the Strategy team leads all the business-driving efforts for Salon, PetsHotel, Pet Training and In-store customer experience. These teams work diligently to ensure our associates, pets and pet parents are supported, while operating efficiently to drive the business. About the Location Hybrid Position: This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the Job
This is responsible for the development and execution of key initiatives within Store Strategy and Operations, as well as cross functional initiatives and run the business (RTB) activities. Additionally, this position is responsible for partnering with key areas of the business to identify, prioritize, and administer company projects, activities, and initiatives that will impact our stores. This is accomplished by understanding store operations and applying a store execution lens to initiatives, setting up stores to execute successfully. This includes the identification, prioritization and execution of programs and initiatives related to store operations, merchandising and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, develop, test, and launch solutions that improve store performance and/or operational excellence
- Support key Store Operations programs and initiatives, including but not limited to, those related to store walk, internal audit, in-store compliance, store development and other projects/programs as assigned
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks/projects in a high velocity environment
- Breakdown strategic and/or complex projects into an executable in-store process while aligning with the overall enterprise objectives
- Foster strong partnerships with home office, field and store associates across various levels enabling collaboration and timely and concise communications with project stakeholders and end users
- Act as a key partner to internal stakeholders, including legal, loss prevention, risk management, merchandising, MP&A and pricing, ensuring programs align with standards and can be executed in-store
- Support cross-functional projects by ensuring they are designed, implemented, and executed in the best interest of the stores, Pet Parents, and brand - all while ensuring quality of the initiative/program
- Understands and supports the Company goals as well as maintains a professional relationship with all associates, vendors, and manufacturer's representatives
- Analyze data and information to develop insights and make recommendations for improvement
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of store/field leadership experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in business administration or a related field is preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to effectively communicate and articulate execution requirements across various audiences
- High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Must be able to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a high sense of urgency and flexibility
- Must be able to effectively prioritize the execution of tasks and projects in a high velocity environment
- Must be able to clearly understand risks and drive contingency planning
- Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to interpret, analyze and translate data to inform strategy and create actionable insights
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite including usage of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must be available for occasional travel to stores
