About UsEthereal Medi-Pedi & Handcare is a cutting-edge, waterless spa specializing in advanced foot care (Medi-pedis, medical pedicures), hand care, and skincare. Under the same roof, our boutique barefoot-footwear store, Born To Splay, offers high-quality minimalist shoes to promote total foot wellness. As we grow, we need a proactive individual who can seamlessly pivot between keeping our spa immaculate, setting up service stations, assisting our retail team, and managing front-desk duties. Position Overview
Youll be the go-to person for maintaining spa cleanliness (including restrooms, treatment rooms, and public areas), supporting spa services by breaking down and setting up manicure/pedicure stations, and ensuring our shoe-store displays and stock room stay organized. Youll also run the front deskgreeting and checking in/out clients, handling phone and email inquiries, and supporting light administrative tasks. Because this role bridges spa and retail operations, you must be comfortable jumping between hands-on cleaning, station setup, customer interactions, and office support. A solid working knowledge of common manicure/pedicure terminology is essential so you can help guests book correctly and understand service conversations. Key Responsibilities Spa Cleanliness & Setup
Daily Cleaning & Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean and disinfect treatment rooms, manicure and pedicure stations, and common areas immediately after each service.
Restock all necessary supplies (towels, linens, sanitizing wipes, hand soap, hand towels, etc.) in treatment rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
Clean floors (sweeping, mopping), maintain trash receptacles, and ensure no clutter or debris remains. Restroom Maintenance: Check and restock restrooms every hour (toilet paper, paper towels, soap).
Sanitize sinks, countertops, toilets, and floors multiple times throughout the day to maintain a professional, hygienic environment. Station Breakdown & Setup: After each manicure/pedicure, remove used implements, dispose of single-use items, sanitize reusable tools, and prepare each station for the next guest.
Ensure all equipment (e-files, lamps) is cleaned and functioning properly.
Refill disposable items (nail files, buffers, table liners, etc.) so technicians can begin promptly.
Put away used linens and replace with fresh ones for every service. Front of House & Retail Support
Footwear Display & Stock Room: Keep shoe displays tidy, dust-free, and fully stocked; put shoe boxes away neatly and keep the stock room organized and orderly.
Monitor inventory levels; alert lead staff or manager when popular sizes or styles run low. Customer Assistance (Born To Splay): Assist customers with shoe fittings alongside other team members, providing personalized guidance on proper sizing and minimalist footwear.
Complete our training program so you can answer questions about barefoot-footwear benefits, fit, and maintenance without needing to rely on another team member.
Ring up retail purchases using the POS system (training provided) and package merchandise according to brand standards. Front Desk & Administrative
Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Greet each guest with a warm, professional welcome; confirm their appointment details and direct them to the appropriate waiting area.
Handle phone and email inquiries throughout the dayfield booking requests, rescheduling, and questions about our services or retail productsand relay messages to appropriate staff when needed.
Process service and retail payments, print receipts, and collect client signatures as needed. Appointment Booking & Service Guidance: Understand general nail-spa lingo (e.g., Medi-pedi, The Defender gel-overlay, Gel-Xtension, heel rescue) so you can help clients select the correct service and avoid booking mistakes.
Offer basic explanations of menu items when guests call or inquire at the desk, and direct them to an appropriate provider if they have specialized questions. Administrative Support: Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing paper and digital client records.
Schedule or reschedule appointments under direction from the CEO or lead receptionist.
Prepare daily appointment sheets or service summaries for technicians, ensuring they know their schedule and guest preferences.
Run occasional errands as requested (e.g., pick up supplies, deliver paperwork).
Pick up and drop off laundryensure clean linens and towels are delivered on time; store and organize clean linens in the supply closet. Qualifications & Skills Work Schedule & Hours Why Join Our Team? How to Apply Important Note
This role is physically active, detail-oriented, and requires comfort shifting between cleaning duties, customer service, front-desk work, and light administrative tasks.
