Pharmacist Job Details

• Location: Peridot, AZ 85542 (Arizona pharmacist jobs)
• Setting: Hospital Pharmacy – Retail Supervisor Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Pharmacist Position
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 29, 2025
• Duration: 14-week contract
• Schedule: 5 shifts/week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3,120 - $3,200

Pharmacist Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of professional pharmacy experience, including 2 years in pharmacy management or supervisory roles
• At least 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Completion of a 1-year pharmacy residency (PGY1) preferred
• Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license (Arizona pharmacist license preferred)
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and clinical support staff
• Ability to pass background and drug screening
• Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred

Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and supervise daily hospital pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance
• Develop and monitor operational and financial outcome measures for pharmacy services
• Implement and evaluate pharmacy department policies and procedures
• Lead continuous process improvement and quality assurance initiatives
• Supervise, mentor, and provide feedback to pharmacy staff and pharmacy technicians
• Oversee pharmacy information systems and medication dispensing for accuracy and efficiency
• Manage purchasing and inventory to ensure timely and cost-effective availability of pharmaceuticals
• Coordinate staff education, training, and professional development opportunities
• Prepare monthly operational reports and identify areas for improvement in pharmacy services
• Participate in orientation, on-the-job training, and ongoing quality assurance programs
• Maintain current pharmacy skills through continuing education and training
• Perform other pharmacist duties as assigned
