Preschool Teacher - Full-time and Part-time Positions - 2-3-yr's

New Covenant Lutheran School  is a Christian Preschool seeking qualified applicants for full-time and part-time Teacher positions, working with children ages 2-3 years. All applicants must be able to meet the following minimum qualifications:

- able to meet all AZDHS teacher requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years old

- Meet one of the following requirements: A. Six months of child care experience and: - A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; or - At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least six credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field B. Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field; or C. N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential;

- fingerprint clearance card, and TB skin test (must obtain before employment; we will work with you to achieve this if not already accomplished)

- teaching experience (volunteer or paid) in an early childhood environment (or other licensing department from another state)

- physical ability to lead and supervise preschool-age children in small and large group settings

- curriculum/lesson planning experience a plus (Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold and Learning without Tears experience welcomed)

- energetic, loving, creative, responsible, faith-filled, and flexible

- letters of recommendation or references: 2 professional

Major functions of this position include (but not limited to) the following:

- create a safe, loving and nurturing environment for all children

- plan and prepare the learning environment (including lesson planning) based on the Creative Curriculum and AZ Early Learning Standards

- maintain supervision of children at all times

- daily communication with parents and fellow staff regarding the needs/progress of all students

- continuous progress monitoring of children

- Attend all required trainings/staff meetings (maintain 18 hours of annual training, per the AZDHS requirements)
