What We're Looking For:

• Purchase materials for manufacturing and other business objectives. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the ideal candidate will be flexible, dynamic and resourceful.

What You'll Do:

• Organize material deliveries with the Transport Coordinator
• Assess purchasing requirements and develop specifications for equipment, material, and supplies to be purchased.
• Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations, and negotiate pricing.
• Follow purchases with suppliers to deliveries according to the Production schedule.
• Analyze consumption to establish and monitor re-order points through MRP/ERP.
• Manage select material shortages.
• Resolve payment issues and audit POs/Invoices for discrepancies.
• Resolve issues with orders/materials as needed.
• Recommend industry best practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Create the plan for the required materials.

Education and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in related field. (Business, Supply Chain)
• 1+ years of purchasing or related experience.
• Microsoft Dynamics Navision Business Central would be an asset
