Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Lead Painting Foreman to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the construction projects and ensure they progress on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is an expert in building methods and has a proven track record of successful construction management projects.
Painting Foreman – Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a crew of painters on residential and commercial projects
- Coordinate daily job site activities to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Communicate with clients and management regarding project progress
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, patching, caulking, and priming
- Apply paint, stains, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces
- Inspect completed work and perform quality control checks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Track and manage paint, materials, and equipment needed for projects
- Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and company procedures
- Address job site issues and resolve problems efficiently
- Ensure safety guidelines and proper use of ladders, equipment, and PPE
- 3–5 years of professional painting experience (residential or commercial)
- Leadership or crew lead experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of interior and exterior painting techniques
- Experience with drywall repair, surface preparation, and finishing work
- Ability to read work orders and follow project instructions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage crews and keep projects on schedule
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Coordinate with other construction professionals to determine the specifications of the project
- Schedule key deliverables and milestones and ensure progress is being made
- Estimate costs and keep the project within budget
- Supervise and direct laborers and construction workers
- Report on progress
- Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise
- Previous experience as a Lead roll
- Deep understanding of construction management methods and processes
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building products, and building codes
- Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and construction management software
- Ability to break large projects into small steps
