Travel RN – Neuro ICU | Level 1 Trauma | Barrow Neurological Institute
We are seeking experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurses to join a 32-bed Neuro ICU at Barrow Neurological Institute , one of the top neurosurgical centers in the United States.
Shift: 12hr Days (7a–7p)
Ratios: 1:2
EMR: Cerner
Must Have
• Level 1 Trauma ICU experience
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience
• Strong Neuro assessment skills
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience in large hospital (450+ beds)
• 3–6 months travel experience
Certifications
• BLS
• ACLS
Patient Population
• Craniotomies
• Brain tumor removal & biopsies
• Complex spine surgeries
• Stroke patients
• ICP monitoring
• Critical neurological conditions
Unit Details
• 32-bed Neuro ICU
• Philips telemetry monitors
• Ventilators available
• RT and Pharmacy available 24/7
• Charge nurse available each shift
Schedule
• 12-hour shifts (7a–7p)
• 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Holidays based on unit coverage
Floating
Travelers may float to:
• Other ICU units
• Telemetry units (4:1 ratio)
Orientation
• 2 shifts unit orientation
• Pass/Fail clinical exam on Day 1
• SIM Lab sterile procedure validation
Facility Requirements
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Driver’s license required at submission
• Travelers must have their own vehicle
