The Controller will provide the strategic and tactical leadership and direction regarding the financial activities of the organization. The Controller is the key steward of the financial and physical assets and serves as a strategic partner in setting the vision and direction concerning the fiscal health of the organization. This position also provides leadership, guidance and direction to capital planning, financial planning, financial reporting, revenue cycle, accounting, reimbursement and operating entity support functions through a well aligned coordination with the respective functional leaders.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance;
- Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Managing Partners and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities;
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation;
- Assumes a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing operating costs and increasing revenues based on knowledge of market trends, financial reports and operating procedures;
- Responsible for direction and submission on a timely basis of all financial data associated reports required by government and other regulated agencies;
- Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of functional leaders on financial issues impacting their budgets;
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization;
- Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position;
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent. A CPA is strongly preferred as well as public accounting experience;
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience or 10 years of industry and public accounting experience in finance and/or operational roles in the healthcare field;
- Experience with a Quickbooks;
- Must be progressive and capable of looking beyond traditional accounting functions to increase margins (pricing, cost controls) and assist with challenging operational decisions;
- Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment, preferably ISO13485 environment.
