Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant

Location (city, state): Scottsdale, AZ

Compensation: Contract/Contract-to-Hire: $33 - $38/hour | Direct Hire: $70,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE)

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of legal experience within a law firm environment; candidates with stronger experience may be considered.
  • Background supporting litigation matters, including experience with legal documents, pleadings, court filings, and case-related deadlines.
  • Experience managing attorney calendars, coordinating meetings, and handling legal correspondence.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and ability to discuss prior litigation support experience.
  • Experience working with legal technology platforms such as Law Toolbox or similar docketing systems, NetDocuments or comparable document management systems, and Centerbase or similar software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Associate degree or college coursework preferred; equivalent legal experience will also be considered.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare legal documents, correspondence, and internal materials.

Job Description:

Addison Group is hiring a Legal Administrative Assistant on behalf of our client, a growing legal organization seeking a highly organized professional to support attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment. This role is ideal for someone with law firm experience who enjoys managing multiple priorities, supporting attorneys directly, and contributing to a collaborative team.

The successful candidate will assist with litigation-related administrative functions, maintain accurate records, coordinate deadlines, and provide day-to-day support to legal professionals. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of legal responsibilities while working within a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Fully onsite position (100% in office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal teams in a litigation-focused environment.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain litigation documents, pleadings, correspondence, and case files.
  • Assist with court filings and tracking legal deadlines.
  • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, and scheduling needs.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and assist with document management processes.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, legal vendors, and internal team members.
  • Support basic settlement-related administrative tasks, including assisting with fee calculations and distribution processes after training.
  • Prioritize daily workload, manage competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a busy legal setting.
