• Location: Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 (Northern Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Locum Tenens
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel RN Contract)
• Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (facility may call off up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930 - $1980 per week
• On-Call: Up to 8 weekday and 9 weekend call shifts per contract (30-minute recall time)
• Weekend Requirement: Typically every 3rd weekend, as needed
• Scrubs: Provided
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Free Parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (OR nurse jobs)
• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact nursing license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Experience with general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro (including craniotomies) surgical cases
• Level I trauma experience required (will consider highly skilled clinicians with recent Level II trauma experience in similar or larger healthcare facilities)
• Ability to take call and respond within 30 minutes
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Assist with a range of surgical procedures: orthopedic, trauma, spine, neuro, and general surgeries
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent surgical cases
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Follow facility protocols for medication administration and patient safety
• Float to other clinical areas as needed, based on skill set and facility requirements
