Location: Chandler, AZ – Onsite When Not Traveling
Travel: 40–50% | Short Trips, Typically 1–3 Days
Compensation: $92,000–$135,000 Base Salary, Negotiable + Quarterly Gain Share
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through final closeout.
This is a field-oriented role responsible for managing project scope, schedules, budgets, contractors, materials, permitting, and client relationships . Travel is typically limited to short 1–3 day trips, allowing you to be home most weekends.
The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple construction projects and is comfortable coordinating teams in the field, solving problems quickly, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage multiple commercial construction and infrastructure projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
• Manage permitting, inspections, commissioning, and final project turnover.
• Oversee procurement, material logistics, delivery schedules, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Track project costs, schedules, milestones, and overall performance.
• Resolve field issues, scope changes, scheduling conflicts, and site challenges.
• Maintain strong communication with customers and provide regular project updates.
• Coordinate with utilities and other external stakeholders when required.
• Ensure projects meet applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation throughout the construction process.
• Complete closeout documentation, including as-builts, commissioning reports, and final project records.
Qualifications
• 2–7+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, MEP, utilities, energy infrastructure, or a similar field-based environment.
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, installation schedules, and project budgets.
• Experience with permitting and inspection processes.
• Strong understanding of construction project execution from pre-construction through closeout.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel approximately 40–50% , typically for short 1–3 day trips.
Preferred Experience
• Electrical infrastructure or electrical construction.
• EV charging infrastructure.
• Renewable energy projects.
• Utility or energy infrastructure.
• Commercial construction and multi-site project rollouts.
• Commissioning and utility coordination.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• PMP certification.
• Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management platforms.
