Data Analyst - SQL
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Analyst - SQL in Phoenix, AZ. Summary: The Analyst sits on the Data Analytics team and serves as the point-of-contact for all questions data stored in the Data warehouse. This position develops, maintains, and distributes presentations and reports. The Analyst extracts data from the data warehouse to answer ad hoc questions. The Analyst will also be analyzing requirements for report requests that are coming to the BI cross functional teams. The Analyst applies their understanding of the business and the data warehouse to evaluate information needs and recommends and develops appropriate solutions (metrics, analyses, data collection, tool functionality, etc.) Principle Responsibilities:
- Researches and resolves data inquiries and requests
- Provides insights and serves as a subject matter expert for all data in the warehouse
- Writes ad-hoc SQL queries to pull data out of the data warehouse
- Documents requirements for data science and reporting projects
- Supports the development of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards
- Collaborates with other teams to gather data and build relationships
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
- 1 or 2 years of experience in data analysis using SQL or other tools
- Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of SQL
