Monday-Thursday: 6am-4:30pm

Friday: 4am-12pm (Mandatory overtime on Fridays when needed.)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication machines such as band saws, shears, tube benders, and roll formers to cut, shape, and bend metal.
• Follow detailed shop drawings and blueprints to ensure all parts are manufactured to exact specifications.
• Unload incoming freight, inspect shipments for damage, and verify that the correct quantity and materials were received.
• Maintain accurate inventory by entering receipt information into the ERP system and labeling products correctly for storage.
• Work with a variety of materials, including steel plates, sheets, and tubes, to produce custom components.
• Perform basic calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to ensure accurate measurements.
• Operate essential shop equipment such as tape measures and combination squares.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required skills and qualifications

• Experience: At least one year of related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in blueprint reading, using measurement tools, and operating fabrication equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude: The ability to troubleshoot equipment and understand how machinery works is a significant plus.
• Attention to detail: Fabrication requires precision to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
• Computer skills: Basic data entry skills for tracking inventory within an ERP system like Epicor.
• Physical ability: The capacity to lift and move parts, as well as stand and operate equipment for extended periods.
