Japanese company is seeking a Sales Representative.
【Responsibilities】Market Research
1) On an ongoing basis, increase overall knowledge of the product & technical capabilities and market, customer & competitor trends to enable a higher success rate of new business. 2) Provide the Sales Manager with input for business planning and sales growth.
3) Create and maintain a data base on market research from daily sales activities.
Working together with the Sales Manager: New Business/ Customer Presentations and RFQs
1) Collect model/project requirements, drawings and related documentation issued by the customer.
3) Research part/process costing of domestic/foreign-supplied components. 4) Complete Design Review forms to initiate quotations and obtain cost from Engineering. 5) Coordinate meetings
6) Prepare accurate, factual quotations; review with Sales Manager before submission to customer.
7) Achieve 100% on-time submission of all quotations.
8) Negotiate Individual basic contract agreement (including packaging/logistic requirements).
9) Determine sales strategies to achieve the company’s goals.
10) Negotiate customer cost-down requests
11) Prepare meeting minutes Project Development Leader
1) Exercise the authority as Program Manager to drive the program for each customer and provide instruction to each related department for development. 2) Act as a liaison between the customer on all New Model & all development issues. 3) Develop and maintain good customer contacts and relationships. 4) Ensure that accurate, on-time communication exists with customers, maintain written records of communications, program timing charts, agreements and directions.
5) Receive Start-Up Images with quantity and design level requirements. Provide this information to the support team.
6) Receive planning development drawings from customer contacts
7) Assist Technical Support
8) Work with the Company's New Model Team to collect the necessary documentation from Technical Support,
9) Update and maintain all necessary information to company system (Salesforce) Monitor Customer Orders & Delivery Requirements
1) Review incoming PO's for pricing and term accuracy compared to agreed upon quotations. 2) Communicate all prototype and MP order issues to Accounting; including pricing, costs, shipping dates and other pertinent information. 3) Receive and review all incoming order forecasts; investigate any order irregularities (unusual peaks or valleys) 4) Assist the Production Department as needed to communicate any delivery issues with the customers
5) Receive customer event order and place event parts orders. Control delivery of parts until Mass Production Order timing. Design Change Cost Issues
1) Receive design change requisition /information from customer
2) Verify that information and submit design change request. (Should be engineering) 3) Communicate design change technical and cost information to the customer.
4) Prepare design change activity schedule and control it internally
5) Communicate timing of design change impact to ensure proper use of customer-required systematic controls of old and new design product. 6) Submit Design Change compensation requests to the customer on a timely basis. Monitor and Direct Mass Production Sales Activities
1) Work with the Production Department to monitor monthly order quantities, verifying causes for large shifts in order quantities. 2) Communicate "end-of production" volumes and schedules to avoid dead stock issues. 3) Negotiate annual cost-down requests from the customers. 4) Investigate and resolve payment issues including delinquent & partial payments for both parts and tooling. 5) Actively seek continual improvement opportunities in all sales activities. 6) Communicate sales changes/issues to the Sales Manager in a timely manner.
7) Coordinate and control cost reduction activity by encouraging the Engineering Dept to maintain the timing and items proposed.
