Job Overview
We are seeking PC LAN Technician to support a large-scale Desktop Refresh Program for the Judicial Branch across Maricopa County. This role involves deploying, configuring, and replacing desktop and laptop computers while providing excellent onsite technical support to end users.
This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals with desktop support, hardware deployment, and customer service experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and replace Windows desktop and laptop computers.
- Image systems and prepare workstations for deployment.
- Install monitors, docking stations, printers, and other peripherals.
- Replace and upgrade computer hardware as needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide onsite technical support to end users during deployment activities.
- Track assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Update tickets and document completed work within ticketing systems.
- Follow deployment schedules, project timelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach while supporting judicial staff.
- Travel to various Judicial Branch facilities throughout Maricopa County as required.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of desktop support, technical support, PC deployment, or related IT experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and technical experience will also be considered.
Required Skills
- Experience deploying and configuring Windows desktops and laptops.
- Knowledge of workstation imaging and deployment processes.
- Experience setting up computer workstations, dual monitors, docking stations, printers, and peripherals.
- Basic hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a deployment team.
- Experience documenting work within ticketing and asset management systems.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment.
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel throughout Maricopa County.
- Professional attitude with the ability to support users at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting desktop refresh or large-scale hardware deployment projects.
- Experience in enterprise, government, or public sector IT environments.
- Familiarity with deployment tools such as:
- SCCM
- MDT
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Autopilot
- Experience with asset tracking and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
- General knowledge of hand tools, workstation setup, cable management, and hardware installation best practices.
