: JobID: 1090 Position Type: Facilities/Maintenance/Custodial/Warehouse/Maintenance Worker Date Posted: 11/1/2025 Location: East Valley Institute of Technology - Power Campus Date Available: 11/13/2025 Closing Date: Until Filled The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students - public, charter, and home-schooled - and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college. Applications are being accepted for the position of Maintenance Helper with the East Valley Institute of Technology Power campus . The start date is contingent upon competion of required paperwork and obtaining an IVP fingerprint clearance card. The beginning salary range for this position is approximately $23.50 - $30.08/hr dependent upon education and like experience. This is a full-time,12 month position . Job Summary: Under general supervision the Maintenance Helper will perform a variety of repair tasks in the maintenance of EVIT's buildings. This position may also assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technician in light construction projects around the campus. Training and Experience:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred; and
• One year or more of work experience in the construction industry or building maintenance; or
• Any combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:

• Valid Arizona Driver's License
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
• The employee hired for this position will work a basic 40- hour workweek. Hours are typically 6:00am -3:30pm. The employee may work evening hours attending advisory team meeting, career fairs, and other school-sponsored activities.
