Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Night shifts available with every other weekend requirement
• Work 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirement includes working 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on telemetry unit with 48 beds (units 4A and 4B)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting them at least once per shift
• Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA preferred
• Cerner experience recommended as orientation is only one shift
• May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high flow, and breathing treatments
• Self-scheduling used with manager balancing final schedules made 4 weeks in advance
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
• No call or standby requirements
• BSN not required
