**What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols appropriate for an armed post.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
+ Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and granting entry based on established procedures.
+ Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
+ Assist with crowd management and help to de-escalate situations as needed within the healthcare setting.
+ Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and patients.
+ Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ An armed guard card or license is required.
+ CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
