Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Peoria, AZ, to support students in grades 6-12 within a resource setting. This full-time contract role offers the chance to provide tailored instructional support to middle and high school students while collaborating closely with a dedicated special education team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with middle/high school core subjects
- Manage and document student progress and services accurately
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support student learning needs through evidence-based strategies and interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education certification covering grades 6-12
- Content Area or Generalist Certification relevant to grades 6-12
- Experience working with middle and high school students in a special education capacity
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage detailed documentation
- Effective collaboration and communication skills within an educational team setting
Location:
- Peoria, Arizona, working primarily in one school environment
