Key Responsibilities for Success
- Lead & Supervise daily crew activities and coordinate subcontractor tasks to keep projects on schedule.
- Collaborate closely with Superintendent and management team to execute pipe installation plans.
- Utilize field software on tablets or mobile devices to track daily logs, production rates and project progress.
- Inspect all work for accuracy, safety compliance and adherence to project specifications.
- Work with the estimator, Project Manager, and Field Operations Manager to analyze project estimates and schedules
- Enforce job site safety, cleanliness, and traffic control standards to protect both the crew and the public
- Support and document change orders and extra work, providing PMs with data and evidence for quick decision-making
What You Bring to the Table
- Proven expertise as a Utility Foreman with preferred 5+ years of experience specific to underground utility installation or heavy civil construction
- High proficiency in managing digital documentation efficiently to track daily progress, crew hours, referencing physical and digital blue prints, cost tracking, quantity reports, etc.
- Strong leadership and communication skills—you can manage a crew and keep production moving
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical specs
- Proven track record of managing crews effectively while maintaining high morale, a safety first mindset and a deep respect for jobsite protocols
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, surveyors, and testing agencies
- Strong collaboration skills—you can partner with PMs, estimators, and field leads to deliver quality, on time

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Utility Foreman to join our civil construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations for underground utility construction, including water, sewer, storm drain, and dry utilities. Working closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews, the Utility Foreman will ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations.
