Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Director of Marketing to own and scale our entire top-of-funnel engine. This role is responsible for driving qualified student leads, refining our messaging, managing paid media and external vendors, and working closely with recruiting and sales to ensure a smooth, predictable flow of students into the school.

This is not a passive brand role. You will be accountable for performance, pipeline health, and continuous optimization across digital, print, and recruiting channels.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Demand Generation

• Own and scale paid advertising across channels (Google, Meta, YouTube, programmatic, etc.)
• Build, test, and optimize funnels that drive high-intent student leads
• Monitor CAC, conversion rates, lead quality, and pipeline velocity
• Continuously experiment with creative, messaging, and offers

• Manage external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners
• Set clear KPIs, timelines, and performance expectations
• Decide what stays in-house vs outsourced as the team scales

Website & Messaging

• Own the Coast Flight Training website: structure, messaging, CRO, and content
• Ensure clarity and consistency in value proposition across all touchpoints
• Collaborate on landing pages, program descriptions, and call-to-action strategy
• Maintain SEO fundamentals and performance tracking

Brand, Print & Recruiting Materials

• Manage all print and physical marketing assets (brochures, campus materials, event collateral)
• Develop recruiting materials used by admissions and outreach teams
• Ensure brand consistency and professional execution across all assets

Sales & Recruiting Alignment

• Work hand-in-hand with recruiting and admissions teams
• Ensure lead flow, messaging, and expectations align with the sales process
• Participate in feedback loops to improve lead quality and close rates
• Build systems that ensure no friction between marketing, recruiting, and enrollment

Analytics & Reporting

• Build dashboards and reporting around funnel performance
• Translate data into actionable insights and decisions
• Present performance, learnings, and next steps to leadership

Vendor & Resource Management

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or demand generation
• Proven track record managing paid media budgets with measurable ROI
• Strong understanding of funnels, CRO, attribution, and lead quality
• Experience managing agencies and external marketing resources
• Excellent written and visual messaging instincts
• Comfort working cross-functionally with sales and recruiting teams
• Highly analytical, execution-focused, and accountable
• Experience in education, training, or regulated industries is a plus (aviation experience not required)
