Job DescriptionLink Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) in Sierra Vista, AZ.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Security Clearance.
- Must possess an IAT Level III Certification or equivalent per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).
- Non-remote (relocation incentive available)
The focus of the Network Engineer will be on leveraging core toolsets to identify device failures, perform root cause analysis, monitor network performance, detect significant trends, conduct deep packet inspection, and utilize network analytics and situational awareness data. This will support the development of automated solutions that enable analysts to quickly correlate data across multiple globally distributed sensors and generate alerts when network behavior deviates from normal patterns, including anomalies in bandwidth utilization.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks.
- Provide detailed activity reports of weekly work in collaboration with your team.
- Provide planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to the ADCNOMS project.

- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to complex problems.
- Performs maintenance and upgrades of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
- Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies.
- Maintain system backup and recovery capability.
- Coordinate the acquisition of hardware and software.
- Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks.
- Design and build hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
- Evaluate new communication technologies to enhance the capabilities of the network.

Qualifications- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active DoD Security Clearance.
- IAT Level III Certification per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).
- Ten (10+) years of related experience.
- Expertise in networking technologies and security. i.e., IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VRF/VPN, MPLS, Routing Protocols (such as BGP, OSPF), QoS, NAC/NAP 802.1x, VoIP, Proxy Services, WAN optimizers, SSL accelerators, DHCP controllers, EoIP, Wireless, VTC, Remote access, Performance and Protocol analyzer, Load balancers.
- Experience in all aspects of network security, both as a self-actualized network engineer and collaborating as a part of a team with trusted, reliable, and talented team members.
- CCNA or higher (Computing Environment cert) required.
Preferred:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
