Integrated Magnetics is seeking Quality Engineers with a electrical or mechanical engineering background to deal with customers and internal company associates for quality assurance purposes for a manufacturer of electromechanical devices, magnetic devices and assemblies in Tucson, AZ with manufacturing plants located in Culver City, CA, Tucson, AZ and Nogales, Mexico with existing knowledge or willing to learn about the following:

ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 14001, NQA, Mil SPEC standards, statistical process control, data acquisition, corrective actions, design of experiments, internal and external quality audits, six sigma control, Kaizen Plan, lean manufacturing

The company is receiving many high profile projects involving innovative technologies including examples from electric jet turbines, robotics/automation of semiconductor products, etc. The company is 100 percent employee owned and candidates who stay with the company for the long term will receive shares in the company over time as part of the retirement benefits package.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- assuring that quality is upheld for all products through implementation of lean manufacturing standards

- processing and looking at statistical process control data to monitor manufacturing processes for shifts

- evaluating products that do not meet quality standards from inspection or returns from customers

- conducting internal quality audits across multiple divisions of the company across the following locations: Culver City, CA, Tucson, AZ and Nogales, Mexico

- preparing and coordinating external quality or certification audits across all divisions from external suppliers and customers

- managing and updating quality management systems for ISO 9001, AS9001, ISO 14001, NQA

- assisting in certification of manufacturing plants to new military, ISO, AS, NQA standards and customer standards

- interacting with external customers, suppliers and internal auditors for quality compliance and assurance to quality standards

Compensation will be based on experience and education, and benefits will be provided upon completion of probationary period.

Requirements:

- Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering

- Must have ability to travel to Culver City, CA, Tucson, AZ and Nogales, Mexico when needed

- Willing to train new graduates with B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

This job requires contact with information for products dealing with top secret government and military contracts and thus the candidate must be security clearable to DOD/DOE standards to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance if needed.
