Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our team. This role involves examining aircraft structures and components for defects using advanced testing techniques. The technician will be responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment, conducting tests, and documenting findings in compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Research technical data and examine aircraft structures and components for defects.
- Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
- Establish proper examination techniques, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Conduct eddy current, penetrant, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle tests on metal parts.
- Review test orders to determine test type, procedures, and acceptability criteria.
- Apply agents such as cleaners, penetrants, and developers to parts for testing.
- Determine test equipment settings using standard formulas.
- Calibrate test equipment following manual instructions.
- Perform tests and document findings according to established procedures.
Essential Skills
- 2-5+ years of experience in aviation.
- Level II certification in NDT disciplines with appropriate documentation.
- Experience with commercial aircraft, especially Boeing and Airbus models.
- Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A&P Certificate or ability to obtain a Repairman’s Certificate.
- Basic set of tools.
- Willingness to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations.

Work Environment
The role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, and reaching. Operate NDT equipment in an aircraft maintenance hangar and flightline, using protective gear such as goggles and ear protection. Be prepared for high noise levels and varying temperatures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marana, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
