The Section of Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center continues to experience rapid growth. As part of this growth we are recruiting Advanced Practice Providers to provide inpatient coverage at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Gilbert, AZ.

Excellent opportunity for a dynamic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our SCT and Cellular Therapy Team. Qualified candidate is required to be board certified and is expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based and multidisciplinary care to cancer patients. Our Advanced Practice Provider is expected to be an active member of the Division and participate in clinical, research and education services provided by Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC).

• Inpatient, days only 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm)
• On a rotating schedule, including weekends and rotating holidays

As a Stem Cell Transplant APP, you will be responsible for:

• Performing bone marrow biopsies/aspirations, lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy administration, ommaya taps and skin punch biopsies, which will all be taught during orientation period, no prior procedure experience necessary.
• Admissions, discharges and daily progress notes on acute leukemia, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapy patients
• Patient and family education regarding chemotherapy and side effects
• Managing high acuity patients with the help of multidisciplinary teams, including significant collaboration with supervising physicians
• Managing chemotherapy and cellular therapy side effects along with an additional focus on infectious disease
• Research and other educational growth opportunities are available if interested
