Machine Operator l, 1st Shift (Buckeye)

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location!

New employees can earn 55K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.

There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.

Position is full-time with benefits!

1st Shift
8 hour shift schedule:
Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

9 hour shift schedule:

Monday - Thursday Day shift - 5:00 AM - 2:30 AM

Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30PM

Mandatory alternating Saturdays Day shift - 5:00 AM - 1:30PM

*Must be able to work all shift schedules

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

● Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures.

● Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications.

● Operate overhead cranes for efficient material handling.

● Operate 1 machine (Stud machine, Bridging Stacker, Stacker and Painters).

● Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment as required.

● Maintain a clean and organized work area.

● Adhere to safety protocols.

● Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

● Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

· Ability to obtain valid crane certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Frequent communication with others to exchange information.

· Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

· Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

· Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

· Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

· Constantly thinking and processing information.

· Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

· Manufacturing floor with machinery.

· Exposure to airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.

· Use of personal protection equipment is required
